Membership

The Black Community Developers Group (BCDG) is an invitation-only national coalition of Black CEOs, Presidents, Executive Directors, C-Suite Level professionals, students and affiliates operating in both rural and urban spaces throughout the United States. We are a professional networking group comprised of community developers, home builders and community development financial institutions.

STRONG LEADERSHIP

Members of BCDG are part of a national coalition of flourishing community development professionals operating in both rural and urban spaces working collectively to provide quality affordable housing, creating homeownership opportunities, and providing financial and capital access. 

Our members are appointed and represented on national boards and committees effectuating change.

PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES

BCDG Members are invited to participate in bi-monthly facilitated roundtable sessions where our members and other guest professionals share best practices and topic specific discussions in housing development and finance. 

BCDG Members also have access to webinars, self-study courses, 1-1 Executive Mentoring: Mentor & Mentee pairing, organization capacity building, assessment, and evaluations. Financial support of grants and low cost capital for eligible members.

NETWORKING

BCDG members have infinite networking possibilities, career connections and job board listings. Our members will receive exclusive invites to quarterly executive “Meet & Greets”, social gatherings, monthly executive members-only meetings, national directory of members and industry leading referrals.

ADVOCACY

BCDG as a collective is focused on creating opportunities for Black families and communities of color to thrive, advance and improve. We seek to pinpoint racial injustices, engage communities through economic and workforce development, supplying resources and education in affordable housing, fending and real estate.

Annual Membership Options

Tier I

$550

CEO’s, Presidents, and Executive Director positions. Convene with other Black leaders in the Community Development field to collaborate on development projects, social justice initiatives, executive -level only networking events and mentor-mentees internship program.

Tier II

$450

CFO’s, COO’s, CIO’s, VP’s and other C-Suite level positions. Partner with like-minded black community development professionals to address the needs of creating communities rooted in black excellence and identity

Student

$50

Recent graduates or graduate-level students passionate about housing and community development for black communities. Opportune for students studying Public Administration, Business Administration, Architecture, Construction, Non-Profit/50l(c)(3) Management, Real Estate, Finance, or related fields of study.

Affiliate

Banks, Financial Institutions, non-community development Non-Profit Organizations, former Tier I or II members, and for-profit businesses. Network with thought leading black professionals in community development to create equity in housing for families of color.
