About the Speakers

Sarah Edelman

Sarah is the Executive Vice President for Programs and Policy at the National Community Stabilization Trust. Prior to NCST, Sarah served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development where she led the Federal Housing Administration’s single family mortgage program. She’s also worked at Fannie Mae, where she launched and managed the Duty to Serve program and at the Center for American Progress where she led housing research and advocacy. Sarah started her career in local community development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in history from George Washington University and a Master’s degree in public management from the University of Maryland.

Ryan Gremillion

Ryan N. Gremillion is Senior Vice President of Policy & Research at the African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs, a national membership organization representing more than 90 Black-led Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) dedicated to closing the racial wealth gap. He leads the Alliance’s policy and research strategy, expanding member access to federal programs that increase capital flows into Black communities. By strengthening the capacity of Black-led CDFIs to leverage these resources, his work helps expand capital access for Black entrepreneurs, advance affordable housing opportunities, and support engagement in climate finance and environmental justice initiatives. A native of Louisiana, Ryan holds a B.S. in International Trade & Finance from Louisiana State University and a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law.
